Diamonds and cash seized as police arrest 33 over diamond robbery

Police investigating a $50 million diamond robbery seized “a large quantity” of gems and cash in raids across three countries today.
A total of 33 people were arrested in connection with the armed robbery three months ago on the runway of Brussels airport by a gang dressed as police officers.
The eight men – by now sporting hoods - pulled up in a police-style cars just as a Brinks armoured van had unloaded its cargo of Antwerp diamonds into a Swiss passenger plane about to take off for Zurich.
