Nigerian police said they’ve arrested three Hezbollah members from Lebanon who were about to launch an attack on Israeli facilities.
The men were arrested in northern Nigeria between May 16 and May 28, The Jerusalem Post reported. The three reportedly admitted they were Hezbollah members during police questioning.
Police raided their home and found a cache of weapons, including 11 60-mm anti-tank weapons, four anti-tank landmines, two rounds of ammunition for a 122 mm artillery gun, 21 rocket-propelled grenades, 17 AK-47s, and more than 11,000 bullets and a stack of dynamite, the Post reported.
“The arms and ammunition were targeted at facilities of Israel and Western interest in Nigeria,” a police spokesman said, in the Post. The spokesman did not specify what facilities were targeted.
