Why is ASUU adamant?

IT is unfortunate that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) remains adamant by not accepting government’s plea to end the ongoing strike action. While it is right for the lecturers to demand their dues from government, the manner it usually takes contributes in no small measure to the falling standard of education in the country. Now, we are saying Ghana’s education standard is superior to Nigeria’s. Why would this not be so when there is hardly a session that ASUU will not go on strike, or threaten to go on strike. I am, therefore, calling on ASUU to call off the strike with immediate effect, and let the students return to their classrooms.
