Less a week after a teenager, Daniel Ohikena, caused scare at the Murtala Mohammed Airport (MMA, Lagos when he stowed on Arik Air plane from Benin to Lagos, another ugly scene yesterday occurred at the same airport.
This time, it was a woman, whose identity could not be immediately established at the time of filing in this report. She was said to have boarded the plane and caused confusion on board by screaming loudly that she was no longer willing to travel with the plane.
LEADERSHIP Weekend gathered that none of the passengers including the cabin crew took her seriously, but her persistence led to suspicion among the passengers.
The strange behaviour, however, led to the delay of the Benin-bound aircraft for two hours as all the passengers were disembarked while the plane was thorough searched.
Our correspondent learnt that all the checked-in luggage were offloaded for screening by both the Aero and Aviation Security (AVSEC) of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
