Association Urges FG, ASUU To Resolve Impasse

The striking Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the federal government have been asked to stop playing politics with the future and stability of the country following the lingering faceoff between them over the demands of ASUU.

This advise was given by the National President of the association of Nigeria University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), Professor Samuel Mwansat at a meeting held at the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) Ijebu Ode local government area of Ogun state.
Members of the association drawn from the 36 states of the federation are regarded as the custodians of university rules and culture.
They converged at Tai Solarin University of Education to chart a new course in order to reposition university administration in the face of 21st century challenges.
While challenging members of the striking union to be reasonable in their demands, the association however asked the federal government to treat issues of infrastructural development in the universities as high priority.
