The governor made this assertion in his testimony during his appearance before the Alakio killing probe panel in Lafia.
Governor Al-makura accused the lawmakers of making comments in solidarity with the Ombatse Group, alleged to have killed the security operatives.
According to the governor, the lawmakers had led a group to commiserate with the Spiritual leader of the Ombatse group after the killing of the security operatives.
Governor Al-Makura also denied sponsoring the Ombatse group in the wake of the November 17, 2012 blockade of the Federal high Way at Eggon, saying he only gave them 1million Naira as transport after a meeting with them on November 18th, 2012.
There have been accusations and counter accusation before the panel over the governor’s involvement in the crisis. The governor used the opportunity to deny any involvement in any previous crisis in the area. He laid the blame at the feet of some federal lawmakers.
However, one of the accused lawmakers in his earlier testimony before the panel had dismissed the allegation of official sabotage.
The commission is rounding off its hearings and will submit its observation and findings to the governor in a couple of days.
The commission of inquiry was set up to probe the May 8th, 2013 killing of over 70 security operatives by gunmen in Alakio community in Nasarawa state.
