2015: Ogun too sophisticated to be ruled by mediocres —Daniel

AS the 2015 general election approaches, electorate in Ogun State have been told to elect credible leaders to different political positions.

This hint was dropped by a former governor of the state, Chief Gbenga Daniel, in his new year message made available to newsmen through his Media Assistant, Ayo Giwa.
According to him, Ogun State is too sophisticated to be ruled by mediocres and average-minded politicians.
He said the people of the state should be cautious in their choice of representatives at different levels of governance especially in this year of electoral activities and electioneering campaigns.
Daniel, who was recently adopted by the national leadership of Labour Party (LP) as the leader of the party in the state, advised the electorate to be wary of political propagandists and ill-prepared politicians who have no clear-cut programmes for them.
He, however, appreciated the people of the state for their foresight, steadfastness and resolve to effect a change in 2015.
The former governor reiterated his optimism of the return of the good old days when the people and residents of Ogun State savoured undiminished dividends of democracy.
He further commended President Goodluck Jonathan for his decision to convene a national conference at this stage of the nation’s evolution, insisting that the conference is the only feasible solution to the nation’s challenges for now.
