Senator Odunsi condemns attack on APC members, lawmakers

Senator representing Ogun West district in Ogun State, Akin Odunsi, has condemned the attack on lawmakers and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Wasimi area of Abeokuta, Ogun State capital,  on Thursday.

The lawmaker, in a press release signed by his senior legislative aide, Kunle Somorin, described the violence as the after effect of the admission of  ‘’do or die  agents’’ into APC.
Odunsi said,“We condemn the disruption and mayhem unleashed on members of our  party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), by thugs, today, at a meeting organised by the senator representing Ogun Central, Senator Olugbenga Obadara at Wasinmi in its entirety.’’
He added that,‘’ It is sad that  a  few days after Senator  Magnus Abe was shot in Port Harcourt, attempts were  also made on the lives of both Senators Akin Odunsi and his host, Obadara in their home state.
“ The use of thugs was never associated with our party. Violence only became a tool for politicking when some apostles of do-or-die politics were brought into the party,“  he said.
