You seem to have gone underground in the last one year?
Haba! It’s not been up to a year; my last release was Bust My Brain (ft General Pype) in September 2013.
What have you been up to?
I’ve been working on new material; nothing but the grind.

Now that you are back, what’s new?
I’m releasing a new single featuring Wizkid called Boogie Down.

How was it working with Wizkid on Boogie down?
It was quite an experience. I feel extremely blessed to have worked with such a huge talent. Wizkid is very professional. His work ethics are unbelievable given the busy schedule he has all year round. Working with him was even more relaxing because of the kind of producer Maleek Berry is. It was done in less than an hour. Maleek got on his beat maker and whipped up this amazing beat in minutes as Wizkid hummed a few melodies and, BAM! We had our hook. And I started creating melodies for my verses and throwing in lyrics, and before we knew it, it was a wrap!
Any plans to release an album this year?
Next year by the grace of God.
What’s your typical day like?
I wake up, say a prayer, go for a run, shower, go into meeting or to the studio, get back in the evening, eat and check my mails and do a quick work-out. I’m very big on fitness.
You seem to have rebranded your image and general appearance. Will your lyrics change too?
My lyrics have got quadruple promotion, graduated, moved on to the next level.
Critics say good music is dead and that popular music is the ‘in thing’. Is that true?
I say if your music isn’t making you money while passing on a message, why are you here?
So what kind of music do you do?
R’n’B with an Afrobeat and Hip Hop twist.

What inspires you?
Anything. I can sing about tambolo (yellow ant). It will pass a message that my fans and would-be fans will relate to.

Critics also say that female musicians in Nigeria need more than talent to make it...
I say females everywhere generally have to work hard to make it. It is what it is.
What should fans expect from you this year?
My fans should expect the fire of Saeon Moruda burning.
Do you have any plans to release an album this year?
No, but I plan to next year, by the grace of God.

What is your most prized bodily asset?
My precious abs.
My precious abs.
And your most prized material possession?
That would be my microphone.
How do you relax?
I either watch series or go for a swim.
Have you ever had some embarrassing moments?
I once told a guy I liked him, thinking he was nice to me because he liked me too. He turned out to be someone who just wanted to help.
